Moore Counseling & Mediation Services, Inc. will be hosting a free event titled: Community Conversation: Black Youth Behavorial Health & Suicide Awareness, in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month in May 2024. A recent report from the Youth Risk Behavior Survey showed that mental health has worsened among Black youths and adolescents and suicide rates have increased, which is now being called a mental health epidemic. During this conversation, we will highlight research that has been conducted by Dr. Beverly Vandiver of The Ohio State University on Black youth suicide.  We will also begin the discussion on community and professional support needed for our youth, with the launch of a call to action in our community. The free event will take place on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Moore Counseling & Mediation Services, Inc., located at 22639 Euclid Avenue, Euclid, Ohio 44117.  Please see the flyer attached.
